Andrew Wheeler, Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist, will be featured in the 22nd annual City of Saratoga “First Night” celebration. First Night draws more than 15,000 revelers each New Year’s Eve, and uses more than 30 venues in historic downtown Saratoga Springs, NY to feature upstate New York’s best regional and touring acts performing live music, dance, comedy and magic from 6pm to midnight!

Event updates will be posted regularly from October through December, 2017 at http://www.saratoga-arts.org/firstnight. “We receive hundreds of applications,” noted Alix Jones, First Night Coordinator and Development Associate with Saratoga Arts, in an interview with newspaper The Alt, “we aim to find the best possible line-up for the event–that’s the fun part.” Jones added, “All of our venues are geared toward the arts and towards the performances”, in a recent interview with WEXT’s Dave Michaels.

"It's absolutely my honor to be selected," Wheeler said. "Last year was a blast. My performance venue was standing-room-only for each set, with folks lined up outside waiting to hear some roots and blues. “ Wheeler commented, “I’ll be playing selections firmly rooted in blues, while also stepping into the more marginal areas of the roots spectrum.
